Both Match and Elite Singles are two quality dating sites—there’s no question there. But the really important follow up question is, which of these two online dating sites is best for you?
If that’s what you’re looking to find out, then welcome to our Elite Singles vs. Match Royal Rumble. Okay, it’s not going to be much of a Royal Rumble, but we are going to help you figure out which of these two options is right for you. We’ll talk who each dating app is designed for, what features you can or can’t get, and pricing comparisons. And we’ll even provide you with some links to check out a free trial account if you want to find out more on your own!
The Bottom Line Up Front – Elite Singles vs. Match.com
Nobody likes having to wade through a mountain of information to get what they came to find out. For that reason, we’re going to lead off right upfront with which one of these two sites we think is best—and for who.
Here are the facts:
- Elite Singles boasts that over 85% of their members hold an above-average level of education. While there are quality singles on Match, we weren’t able to find any sort of hard data like this from them.
- Elite Singles is more expensive than Match.com (more details below). When compared dollar for dollar, Match is less expensive. However, when you start to compare the price based on value, it gets a lot more interesting.
- Match has been around since 1995. Elite Singles is a considerably newer online dating site having been founded in 2009.
- Both sites cater to singles looking for serious relationships or more casual dating. You do have opportunities to denote this through both platforms.
So, who wins the Elite Singles vs. Match showdown?
For us, it’s pretty close, but we give the edge to Elite Singles. While it’s nice that Match is less expensive and has been around longer, it’s hard to beat Elite Singles more than 85% of singles with an above average education. We’re not saying that people who prioritize education are any better than blue collar folks, but we have found that the singles on Elite Singles are a bit more serious about the process. This might be as a result of the fact they’ve invested a few dollars more into the membership.
Either way, we like dating apps where you run into less people playing games, and for us, that’s Elite Singles.
