History of Elite Singles
Elite Singles is one of the online dating platforms of the Spark Network, which is a European based online dating provider. The Spark Network merged with Affinitas GmbH in 2017 increasing to a portfolio of nine different niche-based online dating websites.
Elite Singles, just as the name implies was created for the slightly older, affluent individual seeking a serious relationship with matches of a similar background.
Founders of Elite Singles
Elite Singles was started by co-founders, David Khalil and Lukas Brosseder. These gentlemen started the company Affinitas GmbH in Berlin, Germany back in 2008, and their first online dating platform was eDarling, which still successfully operates across 20 countries to this day. Elite Singles was then launched in 2009 and was created for the educated, business professional to find lasting love through online dating.
The decision to create an online dating website happened in a matter of only six to eight weeks prior to eDarling’s initial launch. Kahlil and Brosseder, were entrepreneurs who recognized the enormous potential of the already booming online dating industry, and they were motivated to find a way to do it even better. Their dating websites became extremely successful across Germany and the European Markets and gained the attention of The Spark Network which was home to dating brands such as JDate, Attractive World, and Christian mingle to name a few.
David Khalil, co-founder of Affinitas GmbH, served as their Chief Executive Officer in 2008, and as the Managing Director from 2008 to 2016. In 2017, when Affinitas GmbH merged with the Spark Network, Khalil became Director of the Board and a board chairman at Sparks Networks, Inc. and the Administrative Board Chairman at Spark Networks SE.
Prior to his time as an entrepreneur with Affinitas GmbH, David Kahlil, received a master’s degree in business administration from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar, Germany, where his studies focused on Entrepreneurship and Corporate Finance. After receiving his master’s degree, Kahlil, worked as an investment manager and business consultant from 2006 to 2008 just prior to creating his own company alongside co-founder and former roommate, Lukas Brosseder.
Lukas Brosseder, also studied business administration at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar, Germany and graduated in 2008. HE first worked at management consulting prior to the development of Affinitas GmbH with his former roommate, David Kahlil. Bosseder was originally from Munich, Germany. Brosseder is now an active angel investor at Saarbruecker21, a group of very successful entrepreneurs who help young start-ups by investing not only time by sharing their real-world entrepreneurial knowledge and experience, but also their money.

If you are a busy professional seeking a serious relationship, then Elite Singles caters to you. Elite Singles Industry Reputation
There is a lot of good to be said about the niche product that Elite Singles offers. With so many online dating options out there these days, Elite Singles, is one of very few that has honed-in on a specific age group and demographic with great success. They are geared toward the busy professional who doesn’t have countless hours to sit and sift through an endless list of potential matches. No, they want to get in and get out, just like their annoying P&L meeting each week.
Some might criticize that Elite Singles misses out on a lot of new members due to those very niche groups. Millennials are not frequent users of Elite Singles site due to the age group among most users, as well as the lack of capability with their mobile dating app. It has been said the mobile dating app is not the best, and perhaps on purpose to deter the youngsters away. Millennials are more apt to use their phones, whereas a business professional is using a laptop or desktop computer frequently throughout their day. The desktop version of the online dating site is by far better than the mobile app, so perhaps start there first before trying the mobile site.
Another criticism is the lack of ability to use the online dating site without a paid membership. Many people choose to upgrade to a paid membership to have the ability to fully use the site, after all it is an online dating service, and as we all know, services cost money. Always ensure the benefit of using the full site is worth your while, we always recommend testing an online dating site out first by utilizing a free trial period if offered.
The signup process for Elite Singles is known to be very extensive with a lengthy questionnaire which takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. The questionnaire (although lengthy) is totally worth every second of effort you put into it. Elite Singles puts a lot of focus into finding you truly great matches from their network of business professionals. They send you a handful of amazing matches each day who have similar interests and values to yours, so you are not overwhelmed with trying to search for Mr. or Mrs. Right, they are delivered right to your door, or inbox so to speak.
Overall, Elite Singles is a great option for the educated busy professional. You save time searching for matches because they are provided for you; no searching through pages and pages of potential online dating matches to see if you can find a few that “might” work out. The user profiles are very thorough and all similarities with your online dating match will be highlighted for your ease and convenience.
Elite Singles has very extensive security and verification processes so fake profiles are a non-issue for its subscriber base. These pros of using Elite Singles outweighs any potential cons and makes it undeniably the best option out there for the educated, busy professional seeking a serious, long-term, loving relationship.
