Passion.com is a steamy online dating site that caters more to mature adults looking for a mix of fun and potentially something longer term.

While we’re usually not ones to review risqué sites, Passion.com does work to match singles that aren’t just looking for a good time but may be looking for something more lasting. For that reason, we felt we should take a look at them as well as what it costs for a membership to the site.

The membership options for Passion.com are easy to understand as they only have one membership type and only one add-on you can attach to one of these memberships. As is customary in the online dating industry, if you select a longer membership term, you’re going to get the product for cheaper. With Passion.com that different is 33% to the three-month membership and 50% for the one-year membership.

The add-on option you have is to allow members without a paid account to message you back. If you’re a guy, we recommend looking into this option. A lot of times sites like this are filled with beautiful women (as is this one), but sometimes they choose not to upgrade their account. If you message them without this add-on, you won’t hear anything back except for crickets. If you upgrade your membership with this add-on, though, ANY member on the site can message you back after you contact them.

The cost of the add-on to the plan on Passion.com is only $20 a month or $36 total for three months. If you’re going to get the booster, go with the longer term option of it.

Payment Options

Passion.com gives you several options for paying for your membership. The first option is by credit or debit card. They accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and Diners Club. One thing that you will want to be aware of if you’re looking for discretion is that your purchase will show up as FFNHELP.COM*PASSION.COM. If you’ve got a nosey accountant or someone you don’t want seeing that, you may want to look into some of the other payment options.

The second option available is via your checking account. All you will need for this is your routing number and email address. This option is great if your credit card company or bank has a habit of blocking internet charges it doesn’t recognize. Payments through this option are rarely blocked and have a very high success rate. Sometimes banks can be a little overprotective of your money.

The last payment option that’s available is a credit card by mail/fax or a check or money order by mail. For some people that are looking for the ultimate in discretion, the latter is the way to go. This will slightly delay when your account is activated (as it has to actually show up to their offices) but it’s the ultimate in discretion. We’re not advocating you do anything that requires discretion, but we understand that there are some certain circumstances where it is needed.

Overall, we’re pleased with the payment options from Passion.com. You should have no problem getting your account set up and ready to rock and roll in no time!

Auto-Renewal

Be aware that all accounts at Passion.com will be set up for auto-renewal when you sign up. Does this mean you have to renew? Nope! That would be silly. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time from your billing history page.

It only takes a few seconds, and you’ll still get to keep using your membership for the duration that you paid for. They turn this on for the convenience of those that want to continue using the service.

If you’re not sure if you want to renew, just turn this off from day one and then you can always renew at the end of your term if you still want to. Just know that if you don’t turn this off, when your membership is over you will be charged again at the Passion cost of membership that you signed up with.

The Quality of Passion.com

Passion.com is a very interesting site in the sense that it is a bit of a risqué site, but it still caters to those looking for longer-term relationships. In this niche, they do a fantastic job. The site is packed full of attractive and active people. There’s a high ratio of female accounts to male accounts.

And it’s hard to discount the fact that Passion.com has been in the industry for over 20+ years and had 35 million plus members to date. We definitely recommend giving the free trial a shot and seeing if there are some people on there that are to your liking. If you want to find out more about the site, we recommend checking out our review of Passion.com where we break down every last detail of the site and give you our honest opinion of how we think you’re going to like it or not.

The Free Trial

When you use the link below, you’ll be whisked away to passion.com with a free trial to start looking around. With the free trial, you’ll be able to create your account, upload photos if you’d like to, and start looking around through all of the matches available. You will be able to see their basic info and main photo, but the rest will require a paid membership. When you see what types of photos people are posting, you’ll understand why 🙂

Though the trial at passion.com is limited in scope, you’ll easily be able to see if the site is worth your time and money and if there are any matches that you might be interested in. Bottom line, you should at least check out the free trial as it takes less than five minutes to create an account and requires no credit card or banking information at all. It’s an actual true free trial that will help you determine if the Passion cost for a membership is worth it or not.
